It's just clothes. I don't think it is a big deal at all and I'd be welcoming him back home asap.Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
thank you for all the comments. he is not sure to what extent he wants to do it and i am hoping that the initial rush of him been allowed to be who he wants to be settles into something that is "just clothes" and if so we can take it from there. suprisingly i am very open minded, think it is the unknown that is throwing me. again thank you.0

I've no experience of this, but i don't think i would mind as i am open minded, i would only have a problem if he looked better in a dress than me.
When mine first told me (way before we were into a 'serious' relationship) I didn't think I'd have a problem. My parents were into Amateur Dramatics and I'd seen enough Panto Dames without their wigs to treat it as normal.......
BUT when it's the MAN you love, and you've been raised on !!!!!! Emery and Les Dawson, it's hard to look at that clumsy make up and square chin and still have feelings for the masculine side of that person. His femme side is not somebody I'd choose as a friend, let alone partner. Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -

There doesnt have to be and sometimes there isnt but often there is. As an aside, most CD guys look like Aunt Sallys and should never take to the streets. They couldnt pass for a female even after 10 pints of Stout in a 1930s London Pea Souper.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -

Yes, we appear to but most of us don't slide into get-ups that make us look like our Dads on a building site. Only the ones who take to shaving do that.0 -

Indeed, though i do believe there is a sub culture that wears "packers".Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -
I don't think I need to know what they are, and by the way I think what you really meant was "Charlie's Aunts" not Aunt Sallys. Who's Aunt Sally?0

What a wonderful response to what must have been a confusing situation, however open-minded you are. I sincerely hope things work out for you and OH and you have many happy years of love (and possibly clothes shopping!) ahead of you. I think it's really refreshing to see people who handle curveballs with such dignity and understanding
Oh, and BitterAndTwisted, Aunt Sally was the dolled-up girlfriend of Worzel Gummage (sp?)... I know this because I was traumatised by having to dress up as her in a ballet production when I was about 10... this was the year after my tap teacher thought it would be 'adorable' to dress me as a dancing chicken :rotfl:0
