The tax on a post-March 2001 Daewoo (not Chevrolet) Matiz is around £180 a year. And they are only 900cc engines too.

One of the reasons I went for a big 2.0 car was that in my price bracket the age of the car wouldn't have a great effect on tax so I went for luxury and comfort, and because of this larger older cars cost pennies to buy and as I only do 300 miles every 5 weeks mpg is not an issue either.
