New isa and transferring old isa - can i open two accounts

hi - i want to open a new isa for this tax year. so i looked at the top rate, which was 3.5% however that doesnt accept any transfers in.

Santander's 3.3% isa accepts transfers in from previous year's isa held with other provider.

question is can i open one isa with AA for 3.5% new and other ISA with santander just to transfer old isas, both within same year?

You complete a Santander transfer form and Santander will arrange the transfer of the old ISA.

You apply to open the Cheshire ISA for this tax year and can subscribe up to £5640.

You can have more than one ISA but only one ISA manager which means all of them in one place and then only if they have an umbrella scheme which allows more than one their own ISAs. Newcastle Building Society has such a scheme.
