A few questions (Tesco mobile)
Options
Apologies if these questions have been asked before, I have tried to look for the answers but needle and haystack spring to mind in answer to why I have not been able to answer my own questions.
I have been looking at a mobile phone contract with Tesco Mobile. Seems OK, affordable, not the best phone in the world but good enough and I am happy to go with it.
However, I have a few questions which may chage everything.
1. Does anyone know which network Tesco Mobile use? I only get 02 in my area and am worried I'll end up with another mobile I can't use (my experience to the every lying 3 Mobile).
2. Does anyone know how strict Tesco are with the credit check issue? I had huge money issues in 2009, ever since I have been turned down for everything, the last time I had things checked was in January of this year when I was turned down from a contract with a phones4u contract.
3. Are the call centers fairly reliable? Or are they all queues with heavily incohereant accents? Do they lie to get you to hang up and give posative feedback like '3' or are they a bit more reputable?
4. Assuming I have enough data to cover me (1GB) how fast is it? I have heard some service providers like to make data use run slow if you use it a lot (despite being offered as "unlimited" or even 500mb) in an effort to get you to opt for various add ons to get the speed working again. Do Tesco Mobile do this as well?

I've had no issue with them, their pay monthly rates were much better than O2 so I swapped.I think they are better than average. Possibly it is even the same O2 call center that deals with Tesco customers.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Tesco Mobile is jointly owned by Telefonica (o2) and Tesco they have there own dedicated call centre based in Radcliffe ,Bury .Greater Manchester, which i believe might still house a O2 call centre as well. I have always found them to be helpful.

Thanks everyone, sadly, it was too good to be true
I looked online ready to make the purchase....gone! It must have been a glitch as now the nearest to the deal I saw is double the price but only offers half the data. I took pictures of the website but its just not there anymore and I know how Tesco deals with their glitches and errors (it never allows them to be carried through)
Oh well, guess it wasn't supposed to be... (and if I had a pound for every time I've had to say that to myself this year I'd have my next contract paid for in its entirety!) Back to the drawing board.0 -
Quite often they will have special offers that last for only short while.0

No, I took pictures and there was nothing on the page which states it was time limited. I think the offer looks pretty amazing and obviously like an error!0
