Methinks the word should be 'changed' and not upgraded ;)

    Methinks you could be right!!!!!

Dumb blond moment here- how do I know if I should download the 32 or 64 version?

When it went wrong it was the 32 version

    I didn't uninstall 2007 first- should I have?

    Thanks again for your suggestions

The 64 bit version will only install and run on a 64 bit operating system.

To find out which you have, Click Start, then right click on Computer. Click Properties and look for System Type.
How do I add a signature?

    Thank you- 32 bit!!!

Ok so I take it I download only the 3 files relating to 32 bit?

Am I better uninstalling 2007 version first?

Can't remember all this hassle when i did it the first time

    Thanks again

Backup your email messages and account(s) first.

Uninstall the 2007 version (might require the computer to be restarted).

Unless you use the Business Contact Manager and Microsoft Office Communicator, you only need the main MS Office 2010 file (en_office_professional_plus_2010_w32_x16-32250.sdc)
