Why do you ask eBay questions on here

I was wonderingly why do people always seems to ask eBay related questions on here and not on eBay , I always fund if I wanted an answer I would as on eBay and not an alternative site like MSE or HUKD

  • Because on here the amount of people visiting the board is far higher than the eBay boards, and the Mods are better

Why does it really matter which forum is used to ask the questions provided that the people giving the answers know what they are writing about?

There are many responders on here who are regular ebay sellers and buyers, and apart from having a good knowledge of ebay rules and proceedures, they also have a very good knowledge of the various legislation acts that cover ebay related transactions, knowledge which could be extremely useful in the event of problems.

The ebay boards are very hostile, and people tend to snoop through listings and feedback from people posting questions. At least here there is a degree of anonymity - or at least there is if people use different user IDs!

On MSE, I've found you get the honest answer.

On eBay, you get the offical answer, that eBay will allow.

[For starters, just one example: mention the phrase 'shill bidding' on eBay and you'll either get hostile denials or the responses will plead ignorance].

A lot of Ebay users don't even know there are forums, whether considered helpful or not. If they have a problem and Google it, chances are they'll end up here.

Plus of course I'm here and thoroughly wise and charming:D
