    Morning all, vil2_playa2.gif

Looks like it will only be about 25 here today - yesterday was a bit hot at 28. DD had loads of outdoor activities at school and is burnt along with loads of her pals even though they had sun cream on. They are going to be beach today so hope they don't get any worse.
Poor DS got asked to work yesterday after his History Exam and said it was like a sauna in the hotel's kitchen and he is working again today. He missed a beach party he had been going to last night but was ok about it.
Hope everyone makes the most of the sunshine as it looks like Monday will be the last of the hot weather, up here anyway.

Morning all, only just found the new thread! We've had a lovely week with DD's 15th birthday. she got Guitar Hero for the Wii and I'm absolutely rubbish at it! We're having a family party tomorrow, so today is shopping and cleaning day!

I read "How To" books and "Business and Finance". I like reading spiritual and motivational , and light hearted comedy books. I also take pains in my hand if I hold a book for too long. The Kindle is light and easy to carry about.
    What books do you read?

I like all sorts, Rom Coms, Thrillers, etc. If you like comedy (and are not easily shocked) you must read Nick Spalding's 'Love - From Both Sides'. It's the funniest thing I have ever read. My OH and DD both agree, it's hilarious.

Sue must give that book a go it sounds good. Have you ever read "Here comes the girls" by Milly Johnson. It is hilarious. A woman I often talk to on the bus was reading it and she was in fits of laughter. I tried to find it in several shops, was telling my sister about it and she found one in a charity shop.

I have a feeling that I bought that in book form on offer in Asda a while ago, just before I got the Kindle. I'll have to have a look for it. Do give the Nick Spalding a go if you can, it made me laugh out loud on numerous occasions. Not good when you're reading in bed and OH has just dropped off :o

Will get the Nick Spalding if I can. Sounds good. Need to watch where I read it if I bust out laughing peeps will be wondering whats wrong with her. Love reading books which give you a good laugh.
Going out shortly to sit sunbathing, received my Compers News Mag yesterday so will read it outside. Before becoming a member of MSE I waited impatiently every month for the postie to bring it, god help him I nearly pulled his arm through the letter box when it arrived lol. now I get all the comps I want on MSE and I only glance through my Compers News Mag.
Loads of housework to do but heck it can wait might as well enjoy the sun while its here, you can do housework anytime.

Wasn't impressed with the winner. Thought the Russian Grannies were a good laugh.
Have just bought the Nick Spalding book - Love from Both Sides. Will get a chance to read it later.
