I was having problems with avatars not loading earlier, all ok now though. Must have been my connection.

I noticed earlier in this thread about twitter - someone posted that by blocking a person who keeps RTing your tweets stops them doing it, well as far as I know it doesn't.

The block function on twitter only stops you from seeing what they are tweeting/rting

They still can see your tweets and RT them, you simply dont know about it as you have blocked them.

The best way to get around it if someone is purposely doing it, is to find the original entry you have made (That was RTed) - delete it (which automatically deletes any RTS) and tweet it again.

I'm new to the forum, I know that companies can't post their own competitions on here or get people too, but I have a personal blog and am running a competition, does that mean I can't post it here?

Unfortunately the rules do state:

9. No Advertising Of Own Websites. This site is free from advertising. Posts on any board considered to be advertising goods, services and/or companies will be removed. This includes the posting of a competition from your own site or from a site that you are employed by. We also do not allow advertising via PM. Examples of this can include anything from a specific sales post or a link to your own website in which you attempt to sell something to someone offering their holiday home to forum members. Unfortunately we cannot allow any advertising of any description no matter how honourable the intention.

Your intentions are innocent, but still not allowed, sorry.

Just a quick addition to the Comping Guide for:

I believe it was their FaceBook comp posted earlier & they politely requested it was removed as they are only a small company.


If you could all keep your eyes peeled so they aren't posted up that would be grand Thanks folks! x
