    Evening all :)

Just a quick note to let you all know that I've added another site to the spam list. Was alerted to the spammy, persistent calls some members are suffering.
PostcodeLottery (see here, here, here & here - don't confuse with FreePostcodeLottery who are fine)
    :)
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out

I ordered some on 16th May, paid by paypal, supposed to be despatched immediately.

I am now chasing a refund as no delivery.

I told her, It was a link from ebay to their website, I have just received this very rude email. If I could get hold of a phone number I would tell them exactly what I think.

No dear Julie or anything just this.............

You told me you ordered though EBAY.
Theirs no record of such a sale and you have not supplied your EBAY ID so we can check.

I need to first find the order, track the items and at that point I will refund if not delivered.
If you want to resolve this I suggest you help yourself by supplying some details / information as to where you ordered these from, instead of just shouting I want a refund,

We sell on EBAY, Amazon, our own website, Ebid, Mail order and Leaflet.

    Please advise.

    Nicola.

Will let you know how I get on

Hiya, don't know if i am better off putting my post here, can anyone help?

Hi, don't know if anyone can help me, but I entered a comp via FB for Pataks to win a family festival ticket at Hyde Park.

You had to submit a recipe which I did and yesterday they stated the comp was closing yesterday. I had submitted my recipe well within this time, anyway today they have announced the winners. I am really upset to find that someone who has basically copied my exact recipe and submitted TODAY has won.

I don't mean to sound bitter, I'm not, but I am angry that it's so obvious that the recipe is the same and I submitted it by the time they requested, it seems a really bad way to run a competition.

To add they PM'd me back after I messaged them stating could they offer me some curry paste or sauce as they had a tough choice deciding from all the recipes.

I've politely told them where to shove it and that all I ask is for fairness in a competition and how can someone else win with the almost the same recipe, (I put Pataks curry paste, she put curry paste) instructions, etc., submit it after it's closed and still win. :(

Say it loudly on their fb wall, don't be quiet and do it via msg! They seem to be trying to hush you up.
That will make them investigate or at least stop the wrong person winning, failing that contact the ipm here: http://www.theipm.org.uk/about/contactus.aspx. Use the complaints email.

    Good luck

    x

Edit : Quite a few of the winners are msers

I'm wondering if anyone here uses tick !!!!!!? It's a site where you fill out short surveys and then get put into prize draws. I'm not aware of any spam problems with them, but I've filled out a lot of surveys without winning anything . . .

. . . although strictly that's not true, I did have one interesting experience with them. I ticked the "I am willing to be a case study" at the end of a survey asking me some health questions, and whether I'd be willing to eat some berries for a week and then fill out the survey again. Amazingly, the people who designed the survey confirmed that I wanted to do this and then sent me, for free, a shipment of 8 punnets of strawberries and 8 punnets of raspberries, with no instructions other than to eat them! (The strawberries were heavenly.) I duly filled the survey out again at the end of the week, and eventually they sent me a £25 Amazon voucher they'd promised for my time and effort. That's probably going to stand for a long time as one of the weirdest experiences I've had :)

Still, though, it's quite different from the usual "win £500 Debenham's vouchers" type of thing that the site posts.

Thank you, I've messaged them back starting the rules of the CAP code, etc., I don't mind losing a comp, crikes I've been doing them for years (I had a diff user name on here but I've had to change it) but for them to dismiss my almost identical recipe and then let someone win who had entered after they closed it yesterday is so very, very unfair. For me it's the principle of it, it's not as if they are a small local company or something.

I'll see what tomorrow brings and if I hear from them, if not I'll take it further as it's no way to run a competition.
