    That would make sense, and might have been a major contributor to the £1,500. However, if, as you say, it wasn't possible to upgrade to Select any longer some 6 years ago, then I don't think unpaid account charges and interest/charges for unarranged overdraft would only have amounted the £1,500.

    So, somewhere in the last 6 years, the OP must have been in credit, and only more recently, they let the situation get out of hand. She does says "[FONT=&quot]The debt has occurred because we decided to bank elsewhere" - - -[/FONT] and whatever the reasons for this decision were, it seems to sum up the situation quite nicely.
