The minute you talk savings and interest, all banks will be obliged to send you an annual interest certificate. They also must notify you in writng of any changes in terms and conditions.0

They will check you pass ID at the work address and you will fail.
I said the correspondence address, not the home "billing" address. He would have to give his real home address to open the account, but then tell them to send all correspondence to another more convenient address. I'd be surprised if banks couldn't/wouldn't do this, but I'll admit I've never had need to try it myself.0 -
I'm wondering if a branch (passbook) based account might actually work better..? As long as you can hide the passbook (perhaps at work), there might be less paperwork sent in the post ? You can probably still (find an account which allows) pay in online.
Just a thought, anyway.0 -
does she actually open your mail?
If not, I would have thought that given the amount of junk mail that comes an odd statement once a year wouldn't be a problem.
Yes she does open my mail, I could open an account at my current address and then change it to my parents address, I also have a ratesetter account and they never send me owt but its risky putting money in there.0 -
Let us know if you do find a "secret" account provider with carefully managed correspondance. Other than those mailbox services, which aren't cheap, I can't see a way around it.0

I don't know how you can do this.
Having no correspondance address can be an intractible problem.
I have spoken to people who have tried to live in a mtorhome full time, so they have no correspondance address, and the problems this created for them were so much they had to go back to living in a house because of it.“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” --Upton Sinclair0
