The puny bar in the middle is the problem, that design is trying to skimp on the thickness of the middle by using a middle leg. Both our beds have much thicker central bars and I think one of them had cross beams too.

Hugely expensive for what is a cheaply made bed. We recently bought a sleigh bed from these guys:-

But remember it is the decent mattress that will cost you (and most of the mattresses sold by the sheds are grossly overpriced)

Edit:- A decent bed should last a couple of generations and any bed covered in a fabric/leather will not.

Jaynne tbh it looks the same thickness as the bed that the OP posted (the ones we can see). Yes the middle bar is thicker on the new bed, but the legs are also better.

What people never tell when you purchase a frame ottoman is that all the stuff that you store really needs to go into bags or boxes. Having had a bed frame and mattress for sometime in then past, I can safely say that in a few months it'll all be covered in a layer of dust. Which is mainly your own dead skin.Nice.

Divan ottomans are a much cleaner way of storing you items as the lid as such is solid.

Also the memory foam warehouse one is far far too cheap, won't last you very long at all.
