MSE News: Half a million could lose disability benefits
Comments
-
KrissCross mentioned her husbands health, I didn't ( and nor did he) to get across her point of "just cause you have cancer, doesn't mean you should claim disability benefits" - only later it becomes clear to me they are receiving those very benefits as in AA??
Yes she mentioned her husband, but why then should you make personal comments about her and her husband? Your point could have been made without adding those comments no?
And besides I thought KrissKross's husband had other problems and he claims AA for those.I SUPPORT CAT RESCUE! Visit Cat Chat to support cat rescue too.

But, again, why just cancer patients and why all of them?
Because cancer involves a lot of harsh treatments and they should be given time to recuperate. I didn't say just cancer patients, we haven't discussed any other conditions.I SUPPORT CAT RESCUE! Visit Cat Chat to support cat rescue too.

Hardly a fact.
What is a fact , as I said, is that there are far more and far better services available to cancer patients than there are to patients with any other life threatening condition.
1 It is a fact
2 With all the funding given towards cancer research and care?? Although cancer deaths are falling in the UK the prognisis doesn't improve the diagnosis.
Plus, Why should cancer get more funding than other serious illnesses??
I'm sure many sufferers of other fatal illnessess ask this same question??0 -
 your joking right?! that's disgusting as if people with terminal illness don't go through enough already without having to be subjected to a medical for benefits as well.
no joke thats what been happeningReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0 -

Not only is it not a fact, your statement doesn't even make sense! What on earth do you mean by "The diagosis of cancer in the UK is amongst the worst in Europe"?
I agree that cancer shouldn't necessarily get more funding and help than other life threatening (not fatal) conditions; tht's exactly what I've been saying!0 -
apparently................sorry for the death of anyones loved one but did the person you quoted die of a cancer related death, equating to the cancer they had or another cause?
it was from the cancer they were told they had 6 or 7 months to live and atos ruled them ok to workReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. Well, actually, they haven't. "Cancer" is an umbrella term for a number of different diseases even when affecting the same organ. As an example breast cancer is composed of 10 different diseases
Yes I know it's a complex decease
In any case, what I am talking about isn't the symptoms but your wishing them upon someone - that's what's totally unacceptable.
I think you'll find I never wished it on anyone
Another example of a STUPID POST!!
I'm sure you'll have grabbed yourself a lot of attention by saying that though, pet:cool:0 -

What I mean is it's a fact that :-
"The diagosis of cancer in the UK is amongst the worst in Europe"?
If you don't know that, then I don't think you are at all qualified to comment on the issue. I'm informing you, not argueing the point.0
