Family Nightlife in Blackpool

Heading to Blackpool Monday 2nd July for 5 days with missus and 2 kids.

Of a night time previously, we used to go to the Laughing Donkey on the far pier (our hotel is the opposite end of Blackpool.)

Has anyone had any expierience of any other decent family bars that are open late with entertainment?

Ive got no advice on bars etc although if you have not been before i cannot reccomend the blackpool tower circus enough, its just amazing. We've been twice and going for the third time next month and even better were using tesco clubcard vouchers to pay :)
  • My family and I are also heading to Blackpool in July time and was wondering what there is to do early evening/night time as well as during the day. I'm delighted to say I have just purchased the amazing tesco clubcard rewards for the pleasure beach as I nearly choked when I read how much a day wristband is for a family!!

Anyway, If anyone can recomend any good moneysaving ideas for blackpool day or night, it would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks x
On my way to well earned riches (I hope!) :T:T:T

Ive prebooked all my stuff before I go. Much cheaper.

Best thing I found was the "Big Ticket". £55 per adult, and you get the tower, tussauds, sea life centre, circus, dungeons!!!

You either love or hate Blackpool.

I used to live in Lytham years back and actually loved it.

Family nightlife a bit difficult to give ideas really as just 2 of us.

However if you like good fish and chips there is the big chippy in Redbank rd Bispham ( north shore) who do the most amazing pies and Steak puddings I have ever had. There is a chippy in Thornton, which has just won the best chippy in britain award

Nightlife, loads of places, have a look what is on at the winter gardens, the piers have shows on, You have the ice rink at Pleasure beach.

DON'T go to Funny girls.( don't think you would get in with kids anyway ) Not worth the price. Is now a dump and poor show since betty legs diamond left.

Daytimes, have a look round Lytham, go to Fairhaven lake , can get boats out there.

You will find loads of info at your accomodation on where to go, there is a lot to do.

    Welcome up to Lancashire !

There's a nice new skating rink on the front at Cleveleys too now, St Annes has a family cinema, the show family films during the day. Fairhaven Lake is good for an afternoon - you can hire boats, there's a mini crazy golf for small children, tennis courts, small play area and it's right next to the beach.
