A little over 6 months if it weren't your vehicle.0

The Notice of Intended Prosecution has to be sent (or perhaps received, different people seem to have different views) within 14 days of the alleged offence. That goes to the Registered Keeper of the vehicle, it's not clear from your post who that is, but if you give it a few more days and they haven't had it then you are in the clear.0

The legal definition is 'Served' within 14 days - s.1, Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.0 -

In the OP's case, if a NIP is not served on the registered keeper within 14 days, the OP cannot be convicted - which is what agrinnall had posted.0 -
It depends who is the registered keeper. If it's a company van, is it a lease company, was it on long term hire, etc, they may have had it, and sent it back to start the ball rolling.0

the van belonged to a factory they have heard nothing0

The company may be the "keeper" of the van, doesn't mean they are the "registered keeper" as known by the DVLA. Do they have the V5C document?0

Please expand on your answer, I have explained the circumstances in which the OP is in the clear, simply stating he isn't doesn't really help (mind you, your first post was rubbish anyway so I doubt if you'll provide a sensible answer).0 -

If the nip is delivered within 14 days. They have 6 months to lay the info before a court. Tell me what part is rubbish?0
