Energy consumption on TiVo box??

Not sure if I'll get the answer here but can anyone tell. E the energy consumption of the virgin TiVo box and wifi hub?

My electricity bill has more than doubled since these were installed and I'm trying to work out by process of elimination, what is causing it.

I know the TiVo takes 6 mins to load, but can't find any info on the electricity usage on it

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
From a little googling it would appear that the Tivo box consumes around 20 watts. Not sure about the hub but I reckon 15 watts would be a good guess.

I'd be looking at your cooker, electric radiators, immersion heater first.
Also the price you are paying does not eqaute to the energy you are using. read your meter regularly.

I've found that my plasma tv uses more lekky than my old CRT going by the meter I have, also when the OP says "I know the TiVo takes 6 mins to load," I take it he is turning the power off to the mains when he's not using it?..That in itself isn't a good idea as the software updates during the night & the box therefore has to effectivly re-boot & update whenever it's turned on.If the OP is worried about the box blowing up,the white box next to the TV is an Isolator that works a bit like a fuse.

Obviously I don't know how much electricity you use or what you use it for (heating/cooking etc) but I would have thought that if your electricity usage had doubled since plugging these 2 devices in they would be glowing red and getting incredibly hot if they were the cause of the extra usage.
