I think my Guinea Piggy Squeaky is going to die - she is 6 so had a good innings
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Morning all

Molly hope you feel better soon.

    Hi Pooky and Sybil.

Not raining here so I will put some washing on in a minute.

Had a mad day yesterday making chutney as OH loves D***a's christmas chutney and we are nearly out of the current batch. Had to pop to Mr M twice as forgot prunes and then realised had no ginger. Mustn't assume I always have the spices I need. Not OS...

But I used to buy good chutney and now it costs the earth for one pot so I learned to make it myself. The ingredients aren't cheap but I look for the best prices on apricots, dates and prunes and buy supermarkets own brand cider vinegar.

OH also made Wesh cakes for work as he put a picture of the last lot on bookface and then his colleagues all wanted to try them! He was a picture slaving over a hot batstone making a double batch last night. His father was welsh and a cook and always made lovely welsh cakes.

Vacuuming calls and pasta for tea I think.

Hugs to all who need them.

    Molly(hugs)

    have a good day.

    Gintot

    Morning all.

Molly41, sorry about your Squeaky. 6 is a very good age for a Guinea pig, but knowing that doesn't make it any easier when the time comes, does it?

It's still bucketing down here, although the sun did try to shine through for a short time earlier.

I had a heck of a migraine-style headache last night, spent the mid-part of the night leaning over the loo, but am now in the post-pain foggy exhaustion stage. Even so, I managed to make a batch of anzac biscuits, otherwise I'd have had nothing for morning tea at work. It'll definitely be an early night tonight though.

    Morning all,

We had the same weather as most yesterday it seems, bright sunshine for an hour or 2 in the morning, the rain ALL day, looks like today might be the same, I think we have had two nice days in may :(

I have some office work to do this morning, and then the general housework etc, and walk the dog.

Dinner tonight is cold pork, leftovers from yesterday, mash peas and pickle, one of my favourites.

Marie, still keeping things crossed xx

    Molly, hugs xx

    morning!

    day off:j

back to the dentist shortly to get my broken tooth looked at - sounds expensive I reckon!

My sister popped by for an early coffee unexpectedly - I was still in bed reading my book:o:D

Nice to see a few 'old' posters returning to the fold:)

(((hugs))) to Jools, Molly and Marie x x

Gintot - yummy welsh cakes - might have to make some now for DH - he's trying to give up smoking but is struggling. He's done a week so far and I desparately want him to succeed as his health is not good.

Plans for today - laundry, housework, pop DS to work and hopefully a bit of time to do some painting(pictures - not walls;))

Made a mini apple crumble last night from 3 wrinkly eating apples - was very nice with custard:)

Have a great day all x

Lovely here at the moment, so I am getting into the garden again while I can.
Seem to have quite a few bits to use up following having DGS the weekend so I think its just a pick and graze day for me today.

Looked as if it was going to be a nice day but has just started to rain heavily.

DDS have taken veg cous cous for lunch in a pack up box and we have leftover Sunday lunch to use up today. Going to put dough in breadmaker for some soft rolls later and defrost mince to make burgers. Got a half price small gammon joint yesterday so going to boil it , cool and slice for sandwiches, pasta etc.

Used the chicken scraps yesterday for fajitas and have chicken stock and fat so will make a leek and potato soup later.

If dd arrives home at lunch time to do revision might start off the soup and dough and then pop out for prescription and to take back books to library to give her space.

Lovely to see snowy, wannabesybil , pooky and others back here. Hug to molly, betheebee and anyone who could use one.

Morning everyone. More uni work today, nada interesting maybe some coconut oil on my scalp as it's a bit dry yum... I went to the shops yesterday and got a huge bag of spinach only to get home and find I had a huge bag of kale tucked away from last week. So now I have 1lb spinach, 1/2lb kale, 1/2lb rocket and a broccoli stalk. Definitely gonna have to do some blanch+freeze today.
