Toyota are always a good bet, dealers don't pull your pants down at every opportunity either.

Auris is a bit bland to look at IMO, but a good car nonetheless.

The price of second hand cars is driven by demand.

Golfs are popular, so they demand a higher price. Sweaty old Mondeos aren't popular, so they are cheap.

This one is only about £200 over the going rate from a trader.

Mondeo's are not popular? Everyone i looked at in Dec 2009 had sold within 2 weeks of me seeing them.

Petrol and diesel models. So i doubt there is a lack of demand.

I wonder if that golf will be still for sale in 2 weeks?

Whats it worth as a trade in? £2750?

Agree that the Auris is a bit bland. But it seems that bit cheaper than a Golf, with a few more gadgets and are (generally) a reliable make. Does anyone here have an Auris and if so what do you think of it in terms of fuel economy, servicing etc.?

Talking out your backside I see. You want to tell me in particular which new Fiats are badly made? And indeed you want to explain why the Alfas are better made since a few of them run off Fiat production lines!
