Yes that's what I have. First Direct are not my main bank and only being used for the 8% regular saver.0

Open an *E* Savings account and it works. If you open a Regular saver savings account it *doesnt* work. So you can't just say "savings account".
Also, if you don't fund the £1500, you won't get the welcome or leaving bonuses.0 -

He's not bothered about the welcome and leaving thing he just wants an FD account but doesn't fund the £1500 etc
May i also ask, do you get your account number within an instant? so he can transfer £1 to the e-savings? he doesn't want any unnecessary charges in the future for not funding it.. so just wanna make sure.. he's paranoid you see lol
also how do they credit check or check for ID? he isn't on the electoral roll,
can that cause a problem ?• HSBC (Main A/C)

No rush to open eSavings account. You have 6 months before the £10 pm fee becomes payable on the current account.

Right,
the old man phoned up.. but was declined an account because they cant find him on the electoral roll??
and the woman wasn't willing to help
is this true? because i think it isn't... i have 4 accounts and im not on the so called 'electoral roll'
but they all saw my passport so how does FD do an id check if someone isn't on the electoral roll ???? (seeing as they don't have a branch...)• HSBC (Main A/C)

Is it the everyday e-saver account you need to open to waive the £10 monthly fee from the 1st account?0
