Sold first item on ebay, but buyer looks like a scammer

ok, I know it's a bit early to start suspecting, but I sold my first item on ebay yesterday, but its a high value phone/pda and sold for £293

The buyer has 34 positive feeback at 100% and his account shows as registered in the UK for the last 3 to 4 years.

In my listing I stated that payment should be made within 3 days and I only accept paypal and bids from UK bidders and will not post outside UK.

Now the buyer emailed me asking me to send him the total amount and to post the item to Nigeria!

here his mail (with some stuff I have masked)
Hi Mr xxx,
As the high bider,i will like you to help me caculate the total cost of the goods and the shippment to this address .....
name....SH****I M***U A
address....23 *** STREET ****-OBA
city......ILORIN
state......KWARA
country.....NIGERIA
zip code....2***2
WATING TO HEAR FROM YOU

What should I do, it looks like a total scam?
He changed his ebay id soon after winning my auction.

Should I wait 3 days and mark the listing as unpaid. (how long do i need to wait before telling ebay that he has not paid?)
should i report him to ebay?
I'm also afraid that if I leave neg he will do the same (I have 100% feedback for the last few years).

Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

Definately do not post to Nigeria!

There is little point stating that you want payment to be made within 3 days as eBay allows a buyer 7 days in which to complete the transaction.

Anyway, do not send the item.

He broke the terms of your auction. Offer it to the next highest bidder using "Second chance offer".
The bid is 100% certain to be a scam by the way.

The second highest bidder looks like his mate, as when i was checking the auction bidding, the second highest bidder won a number of the same pda phones and had similar feedback. Both bidders seem to be bidding against each other in several similar auctions.

Bidders lower ni the list bid much lower, so will not second chance them.

I think I will wait 7 days, report to ebay then relist and block those 2 bidders! :(

such a waste of time as my auction was going on for 7 days!

Report him for false contact details to get him kicked off ebay faster.

Do you think i should only offer it to those with registered credit card on file next time or will that exclude loads of paypal users as well?

I would have thought that most people buying high value items on eBay with PayPal would tend to pay by credit card. If you choose that option hopefully you won't get scammers like this time.

Why wait 7 days just relist but take out such terms as payment within 3 days that is not what ebay give and will just annoy some potential bidders.
