Phone insurance: Can't file a police report in USA?
I'm in a really tough situation right now. I'm currently in the USA and I lost my iPhone. I'm with protect your bubble and they specify in their terms that you have to get a full police report for loss in order to process a claim.
The local police department here have told me they don't issue reports for lost items, they only give out reports if a verifiable crime has been committed. Protect your bubble is closed as its a Sunday and my 24 hour window will be up by the time their lines re-open to ask for their advice.
Urgent advice appreciated! Anyone had this experience before?
