The other great thing with IKEA furniture is you can do all sorts to adapt and change it!

Emmaus (http://www.emmaus.org.uk/) often has good bargains.

Freecycle and Freegle are also really worth a look, for large items they are especially good because people would rather someone come and collect the item, than having to take it to the dump themselves!

Watch out with Ikea beds - they are not normal UK sizes, so you can't use just any mattress with them. Just something to be aware of.

Just looked at bed size comparisons and it looks like I may have to make my own sheets for ds bed when I get him the ODDA then lol
