How many clothes does a lady really need? Help

The coat thing? I totally get it. Where I live it's winter for six months of the year. Trust me you get fed up of the same coat for 180 days.
I just looked:
Down filled coat
Purple going out coat with fur trim
Black wool coat
Tan
Hot Pink
Navy coat (If I don't wear two sweaters it fits)
Barbour for between seasons
Maroon down jacket
Four fleece jackets
It can be cold where I work, so I've been known to wear the down jacket and a fleece on night shift.
I'm not a hoarder of coats but trust me after 100 days of -25C weather, you need a change.0 -

I have been thinking of decluttering for the longest. I need to stop thinking and just get on with it!! I also have too many things, coats, tights, trousers, dresses.

Oh yes, me. I like looking at nice things but I can't buy anything new for the moment. Keen charity shop bargains are my current passion. Eeeh, there's nowt better than getting hold of something really lovely for a couple of quid. That gives me more pleasure than any shopping did when I could afford to saunter round pricey designer emporiums with a decent wage in the bank ripe for the spending thereof.
There are sensible people among us who employ a strict "new one in, old one out" policy. If I wasn't a blood-relative of Squirrel Nutkins I'd do that, too.
Now, will someone please put me out of misery and tell me what the tubigrip is for, if it's decent.0 -
I've been trying to rationalise my wardrobe too. I have a post about it on my homepage and found Project 333 inspiring (amongst other things!). I am currently trying out a working wardrobe of 33 items and a casual wardrobe of 33 items!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0

I picked up a couple of pairs of linen trousers in Primark and after ironing them I was looking for some hangers and couldn't find any empty ones. My wardrobe(s) were bursting. I have 95 hangers stuffed in one and about 60 in the other and I still can't find anything to wear!!!
I think that I might have to have a bit of a clear outI need to make a new list for 2014
think of something to put on it!:rotfl:
Try harder for 2014 as I never managed it in 2012 or 20130 -
I decided yesterday to cull some of my clothing stash. I sorted it into piles and everything.
My piles have been staring at me accusingly all day long.
Good news - I found stuff that I'd forgotten I had, still like and........for a Brucie bonus..........actually fits.
Bad news - I'm such a wimp, even the stuff I don't like much hasn't made its way to the 'get rid' pile. I wore a top to work the other day that I actually despise. What's all that about? I seem to be in the 'I paid good money for that, so therefore I will wear it to the bitter end' catagory. :rotfl:
What a loser.
It's tragic - it really is.0
