    Morning All

    Welcome Jacksmummy:wave:

Still dry here :j and have squeezed another load of washing in :D
Really pleased with the larder. DH did a great job, he is going to build me some storage in the utility room in half term so I am well on the way to a place for everything and everything in it's place :D
DH is mowing the lawns today, so that will make the front and back of the house look less like a jungle  I got DS to help with the weeding yesterday and he got a lot done, but there is still so much more to do :(
    Dinner is Roast Chicken

wow its really windy again here ( we do live very high up ) im on my 3rd load out on the line , its drying in no time :D

washed up after everyones cooked breakfast, so that took a while, the house is a bit messy , but both DDs are revising so i dont want to disturb them, DD2 has her 1st gcse tomorrow , french listening . the next month is going to be very stressful .

DH is pressure washing the decking and seems to be enjoying himself lol

done a bit of weeding so it looks a bit better, i bought a couple of round plant supports for my peonies and its holding them beautifully ,( before they would get flattened by the wind and rain ) money well spent , i love peonies they are such a beautiful flower .

need to think about lunch , both DDs want pizza :o but i think i'll do me and DH chicken in a cream and mushroom sauce with a jacket spud and veg - not too much effort involved there ;)

oh well off to pull a few more weeds ...

Cakes all done and dusted for the boys this afternoon.DD came drank a pot of coffee and departed, after fixing my kitchen cupboard door that was very wonky.
also gave me £21.00 that I had forgotten about from before my holiday so thats going back into food purse for the month ,any left over at the end of the month will get stashed with my next holiday cash.
I have a good half a litre of stock from the ham hock that I cooked overnight in the SC and quite a bit of ham that fell off the bone. Now not sure what I can do with it apart from sarnies any thoughts on about half a kilo of shredded ham chunks?
Stock will go for soup but the ham bits are not even 'sliceable ' Iykwim, and a bit too big to bung into an omelette,Mmm thinking cap goes on for ideas :)
Beautiful afternoon here in north Kent, shame I've run out of things to wash as its a lovely drying day ,still at least I got the ironing put away.
Just going to sort out something light for lunch as I have dinner this evening at youngest DDs,probably something with ham in it I think :)
    Cheers chums

Well I've tackled the jungle that is my lawn! :rotfl: But the mower I borrowed from my Dad wouldn't work so had to go buy a strimmer. It worked very well but my hands hurt now and are a bit shakey from it! It doesn't look perfect but looks way better than before.

Lovely here still, 2 loads of washing out on the line, need to put new bedding on bed now.

Now debating whether to watch the F1 or sit in garden and read my Kindle. But need to make lunch first. Got most of the uni work done this morning, just have one bit left that I will do later tonight.

OH just doing the front and back lawn. Veggies prepped for dinner. Washing done and shower curtains washed.

Have to phone Mr S as we don't have the minced lamb bags I ordered and seen as there £3.50 a bag now:eek::eek:...I want my money back! Also the pizza bases which are wheat free for OH are both broken and 1 bag of frozen berries are missing. In total, about £12 worth either missing or broken:mad:

Trying to organise my days better as all days are mingled into one atm and Im getting very fed up with it. There are stuff that need doing daily, weekly and monthly so want to set up some kind of chart to help me.

Also, OH is calling the council tomorrow to see if we can have an assessment done to enable me to be able to get out in the garden with wheelchair access as its very difficult atm. Probably won't qualify for any help, but they may be able to suggest something.

Must start doing the salad leaves this week in the little pots.

How about a potato, onion and bacon hotpot with a white or cheese sauce?

Or savoury pancakes - plain thin pancakes with ham pieces, sauteed chopped onion and grated cheese or tomatoes as a filling then rolled up?

Dishwasher is dealing with all the Sunday lunch debris, washing machine is doing a small wash to make use of a non rainy day and I am putting my feet up for an hour. DD made banana cake to use up ripe fruit so that saved me making dessert.

Going to walk down to local supermarket around 3 and see if I can grab any YS items or some good deals on frozen seafood so I can make fish pie again as anyone who actually tried it, loved it.

DH busy removing a little of the hedge in the back garden so he can have a potting shed in that area - he is so excited at the thought he is like a big kid bless him.

    Hugs to all

    Hi everyone,
creeping in by the back door as I haven't been on here since before Easter. I'm still doing OS it's just that it seems to have stolen my life. In brief I have looked after DGD2 and/or DGD3 for 4 days a week, done Nursery school runs, had Tenents move out of a house we rent out and new ones move in which meant I had to decorate a 2 bed house top to bottom in 3 days, mission completed. Had my DMum stay for a week, lots of HM meals made, looked after poorly neighbour and still managed to have a 4 day break in Monmouth and visit Ross-on-Wye and Ledbury.

I've stripped and re-made beds and cotbed, blitzed the bathrooms and made DH a full roast beef dinner for today (I have fish & salad) since taking DGD2 home at 12.45. DH is watching GPrix whilst I'm considering sorting out stuff for our holiday. We're flying to Spain to stay with my DB1 and SiL next Sunday.

Managed to mow the lawn y/day due to a bright light in the sky.... can't remember what it's called but it makes me feel warm and the weeds to grow like Triffids.

Sorry for not commenting but I can't catch up but wish you all well with gentle ((((hugs))))

hello all, horrid horrid horrid weather here in Dundee. Have been consoling myself that at least it was good yesterday, but honestly it's MAY!!! DD1 and 2 have finished exams, DS starts soon. I had a very stressed night worrying about tomorrow's all day work meeting. Really need to chill.
Have put the heating back on, washing in the TD and sat here listening to the wind (I think a rotire dryline would just take off Wizard of Oz style in this gale :rotfl:)
On the plus side finished murder book, got the freezer and fridge sorted, wrote shopping list and almost stuck to it (well I did, OH didn't lol). Just under £70 including tons of British red tractor meat. I so like Lidl. Then discovered Mapp and Lucia on Radio 4X as I cooked lunch using up leftovers hanging over from last week.
Was just making a start on the kitchen floor while listening to Morse when neighbour's 12-year old DS called. It's his girlfriend's birthday and he wondered if I could help wrap her presents. As I made the best job I could (I'm not gifted in the craft dept) he smiled and said 'I just knew you'd be the sort of person to help me'. Sweet :D Told him to buy black magic next time rather than celebrations though. BM comes in a nice rectangular box!
Please send nice weather up this way. My road kill jar has only grown by 3p this month :(

    Afternoon all
I love my rotaire, it's saved me a fortune in drying costs. It's been full all yesterday & today, I did all our washing yesterday & then realised that BIL is visiting soon, so I stripped the spare bed & washed all the bedding, also mopped & dusted the room so it is all ready for him.
The roast lamb was yummy, there is enough left for lamb tagine tomorrow I also used up some old bananas & made a banana loaf, I'll take it to work with me tomorrow.
Hubby has spent the day in the garden, pottering, so is a happy bunny.
I've done some more crochet & read a couple of books on my kindle, Plum Loving by Janet Evanovich & Forgotton Village by Lyssa Medana and T Marlowe. A sometimes MSE otherwise known as Wannabe Sybil
    Have a good evening everybody.
    Hugs Hester
