  • Morning all..

Beautiful sunny day here in Kent so I will be taking full advantage by filling my washing lines.. nothing like a line full of washing :)

I shall be decluttering the house for most of the day, think I'll set DH the task of weeding the garden when he gets back from tending to the bees.

No sunday roast today for us cos I forgot to take the meat out of the freezer... so looks like its going to be something quick out of the freezer.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

Yay I have finished Mount Ironing .I did all of it last night whilst watching catchup t.v. Now all I have to do is put the blooming stuff away (a job I hate for some reason. But the sun is shining and the sky is blue what more could we want .The garden looks like a jungle but its my 'wild life garden' at the moment so I can live with that I'm just about to make some cakes for my DGS.A lovely lady on F/fasting has posted a waffle recipe which I will try out on my DGS Danny.I still can't find an easy-peasy recipe for teacakes though that doesn't involve lots of kneading .(my right arm doesn't work so well so what ever I do, kneading is a bit of a no-no)Still onwards and upwards.I may make an apple and cinnamon cake instead I have a great craving for cinnamon.
Have a great day everyone whatever you are doing

    Morning All!

Lovely and sunny here too!:j Had a good day yesterday. Did some wallpaper stripping, went to Bexhill-on-sea where they have some great charity shops, and got a tea, coffee and sugar set to match my kitchen for £2.50, a lovely new tablecloth for £2 and four white pillowcases for DS for 50p each!:T really pleased.
Came home knackered, so spent the afternoon in the garden reading.

Been doing some potting up this morning of hanging tomatoesm fed all the rest of the plants, and did a bit of pruning.

grated some stale bread into breadcrumbs, then followed that with a piece of cheese that was looking a bit sad:rotfl: looks better now!

OH phoned and emailed yesterday. He has met his daughter in New York. First time in four years, she looks so different now, she's grown so much and cut her hair. Hope to see her towards the end of the year.

DD and DGD have been on the phone. Apparently DD was having a shower, and DGD decided to get a yellow permanant marker and draw all over her feet!:rotfl: So now she looks like a Simpson!

Going for lunch today with a friend.

    Have a great day all!

    Good Morning All

Beautiful day again today - could get used to this :rotfl:

Been busy already this morning, today is definitely going to be a doing day. DW emptied wm on 2nd load, kitchen wiped down, animals cleaned out, coffee machine cleaned & descaled. Just about to do the bathrooms then clean all downstairs blinds and windows.

Need to take son out to have his haircut later, OH is taking DD driving. He will also be mowing the lawn. Thinking croissants with ham and cheese for brunch then a ploughmans for dinner, definitely do not fancy a roast today.

Love days like today when I am motivated and full of energy unfortunately they seem far and few between! :o

    Have a great day all.x

Morning all, lovely sunshine here so a lovely walk for me and Jack this morning. Will take him further afield this afternoon for a change as he doesn't mind a trip in the car. Did all my washing yesterday so fighting the urge to go and look for more. I think everyone is feeling more positive with a bit of sun Donnygal I am so jealous of you going in the pool, I adore swimming and when I get to go somewhere warm I spend most of it swimming in the pool or the sea.
Well must get on a quick clean round and think of something for dinner.
Hugs to all in need esp Meanmarie keep hoping.
Have a good day all.:) Welcome to Jacksmummy

Having a quick cuppa while browsing on here for a few minutes.

Lemon and garlic chicken is ready to go in the oven, I plan to have new potatoes, Chanteray carrots, green beans and maybe red cabbage with onion and apple. Might make small yorkies as well. Would be lovely if it was warm enough to eat in the garden but doubt it.

Going downstairs to clean work surfaces, put chicken in oven and steam mop the kitchen hall utility and bathroom floors. Dishwasher is on and a few mugs are soaking to remove tea stains etc.

One dd has gone to part time job. one has not surfaced and another is hoovering living room so better look busy!;)

Hugs to all and see you later.

    Morning all

Sunny again here so leapt out of bed and put the washing on.

DS27 confessed to funny rash mainly on trunk, arms Friday night, had it a couple of weeks.....oh oh used new washing powder about then S**f.... so back to B**d gel. Washed his bedding yesterday and am starting to rewash his clothes. So we'll see as I can't think what else it could be.

Just as well it's sunny here......

OH is tidying and cleaning the kitchen. I think he's fancying a cooked brunch. We generally have one during the weekend-guess who gets to cook it! DS always joins in too and then disappears at washing up/dishwasher loading time although he did cut the lawns yesterday.

Tea is gammon new pots and veggies and I hope to have leftovers to combine with a chicken breast to make a pie tomorrow.

Hugs to everyone who needs them, plenty here.

    Have a good day all.

Morning all, beautiful sunny day here. Not too hot, not too chilly, just perfect. I wish we had more days like this.

Achieved quite a bit yesterday. Ive chosen my gas fire and my fireplace. However, ive got a feeling just a standard sized fireplace is going to take over my living room as the room itself isnt that big. I really wanted a smaller fireplace but hubby shunned the idea. The bigger the better for him, things in small packages for me as i like space.

Son stayed out last night and it was so quiet without him. We dont see much of him anyway as he is usually in his room but i missed him. I keep thinking what is it going to be like when he leaves home? Whats it going to be like when we dont have the dogs? It will just be me in the week and me and hubby weekends and we dont exactly get on like a house on fire.:( I think i am suffering from 'empty nest syndrome' prematurely.

donny-gal thanks for the link to the Rotaire Dryline ive bookmarked it but need to know i will use the rotary line regularly before i invest any more cash into it. Its a brilliant idea isnt it?

Today will be spent mainly on ebay i think listing stuff. I really need to replace the cash ive spent.

    Have a good day all.

    Morning everyone,

Wish it was sunny here - very grey and overcast.

As I'm on my own today I was planning a very lazy day but having read all your posts I now feel guilty so will do a quick tidy round the living room and then may be tackle the kitchen cupboards.

Meals will be very quick and easy as I can never really be bothered with much when I'm on my own - not much point really.

Have a good day everyone - please send some sunshine my way!

    Val xx
