Just completed the survey for VO and it said "Thank you for completing and then it changed for error...screen. I checked my participating history and this survey is under "invite sent". Tried to go back to this survey and it says "you successfully completed the survey". I am very annoyed as it is obvious they do not want to pay us and after successful completion it is unlikely I'll get the reward for it. I sent them e-mail and see what they say but I am not happy with them...
  • I'm waiting (a week now) for my first £10 Tesco voucher. £2.75 on the clock currently and and the same amount pending. We shall see.....

    Hi,

I've been using Valued Opinions since January and have earned about £10 per month (ie. i have £40 worth of vouchers).

Anyway, I've found them so far to be the best survey site. However, this evening I'm starting to change my opinion.

I started a Survey which they said would take 15 minutes. In fact it took 20 minutes and I answered the WHOLE of the survey (it was about internet banking) and included watching a short video. This was for 75p.

Anyway, the last few questions were the typical 'screening' question (Gender, Age, Income, Type Of Job) - Which is unusual for them

because they always ask this at the start and not the end.

So I filled in the whole survey, and submitted only to be told that they had 'reached the maximum number of participants'.

I've sent a message to complain, and I know its really petty for 75p but it's the principle of wasting my time by not screening me out at the start. It's as if the company deliberatly did this so they can use your answers anyway. And i'm sure they're not allowed to do this.

Anyone else had any problems with them lately?

I am the very same problem with them as well!!!! No you are not being petty but it is very frustrating after filling out a survey for aprox 15 minutes then being screened out. Yes I think like you cheap way to get answers then use this as an excuse.

Don't think there is any way round this problem other than repeat emails from members complaining to them. What do other think? :)

The problem with these sites is that if you are strapped for money that means you do not consume much. So say if you do not take foreign holidays or you have an old car or not buy the latest gadgets thn you cannot really have much to say on the surveys so you do not get to complete them.

I have been with valued opinions for over a year now and just assume that i will only qualify for about one survey out of four or five that I am offered as I am not much of a consumer these days.

Also I have gotten to know the categories of surveys that nine times out of ten I do not qualify for and ignore them.

It is a bit of a Catch 22 situtaion really. You need to do the surveys because you have no money, but the survey companies are looking for people who are high consumers and thus have plenty of money in the first place..

They are getting slower to pay pending credits to your account.

I have one outstanding from June!

I am getting as low as 1 in 8 that I qualify for.

Same here, my Valued Opinions surveys that I qualify for has dropped off a cliff. I used to get £10 a month easily.

I think there may be other factors such as gender, location and age too. Despite being a late technology adapter, not being loyal to supermarkets or utility companies and owning a ten year old car I still manage to qualify for a reasonable amount of surveys.

I had one a while back that was for £3 was supposed to he an hour and a half I think. At just over 2 hours I hit the last page and pressed send and it gave me an error :-( Emailed them and they said nothing they could do even though I had a screen shot of the last page and the error and that if the survey did not meet it's quota it might appear in my account to try again. I was like eh u seriously think I would fill it out a second time when you already got my answers lol. It happens so much it's not good but I do not have it happen much here compared with other sites x

I have just cancelled my membership with Toluna. I don't like the changes they've made to the site and it takes way too long to reach the target points to get the voucher. The surveys are always long and tedious.

I am already a member of Ipsos, My survey and Pinecone which keep me busy.

Just tried to register with Valued Opinions (I'm sure I've been registered before), it wouldn't accept my email address, it said that email address had already been registered, so I tried a different and it said I couldn't register due to inconsistencies with the data I had provided.
