Parking charge for Loan car

I received a parking charge today from ParkingEye. I have read all the posts and will be ignoring their letters. Thanks for that advice.
However, my question is this...
The car I was driving was a loan car from Citroen because my car was having work carried out. The PPC have obviously sent a letter to the Citroen dealership as they are the registered owners of the car.
Do I have any comeback on the Citroen dealer for handing out my details to the PPC?
Thanks in advance
Mark

Unfortunately even people who are in the trade seem to fail to realise that these tickets are just ignorable scams and confuse them with genuine stuff from Councils/Police.
What were you thinking about, D.P.A.? I would be more concerned about whether the garage was trying to sneak an "administration charge" out of this like hire companies try to. I'd check.
But if you are feeling litigious, just let Parking Eye manoeuvre themselves into a position where you can sue them. They'll probably oblige.0 -

I would send them a thankyou letter!
Seriously, they did well especially if they didn't charge you an admin fee. Many car lease/hire/loan fleet companies have a clause that means they blindly pay anything that looks like a fine - even fake PCNs like this - then pass the cost and a hefty admin fee onto the hapless driver.
They did right and you can now ignore the letters once you have written to the PPC just ONCE to give them your address and to say 'Citroen passed your letter to me as this was a loan car and the matter is nothing to do with them. Please tell me the nature of this alleged 'parking charge'. The reason being you want to get them to write to you from now on so ask a simple question to get the ball rolling in your direction instead of the hire/loan Fleet company.
The only thing I would do apart from 'hooking' the PPC in your direction, is to very quickly write a letter similar to MacBudman's approach on this thread Just in case the hire/loan Fleet Manager panics if and when they get sent further scary letters about this:

I would say thankyou for allowing me to handle this scam fake PCN. Glad you recognised it for what it was and didn't think it was a real PCN, as it isn't. If you get any 'scary letters from debt collectors' about it then they are for me! Please feel free to ignore them or pass them onto me if you wish; I am more than happy to handle this scam but under no circumstances is the amount to be paid to the parking 'firm'. It is only aimed at the driver and your liability is zero...(attach the Fleet News and BVRLA links shown in the MacBudman thread).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Be careful. If they decide to pursue, then you will liable for late payment charges, baliff fees and court costs.0 -

The poster using the name lawabidingcitizen is not a genuine member of this forum.
He is a parking company owner (troll) who is seeking to undermine the work the forum does.
Please ignore everything that he posts as it is untrue and simply propaganda on behalf of parking companies.
Peawet08, nothing will happen to you. It has never happened to me and I have ignored a large number of fake tickets.0 -
I am a genuine member of this forum. I am giving people advice on how to save money.
It may contradict the advice that some others are giving on this forum, but that is why we have 'discussion' forums.
I have to say much of what I read on here about parking charges being scams is in fact untrue!0 -

Well you will never hear me saying they are scams but you will hear me say that they are unenforceable.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -
Please do not dignify a troll with a direct response. It will only encourage him.
