best broadband supplier???

We currently have talk talk. Who else gives a good service for a good price?

Thank you for your opinions.

There really is no best. I personally have stuck with BT Business Broadband because they have had very few outages in 6 years, have no bandwidth restriction and have always answered the phone quickly when I've had a question.

I used to have Be then changed to their parent company O2. O2 have call centres in UK, whereas Be were in India (could have changed now). Hardly any downtime, unlimited downloads and if you have an O2 phone, you get a discount. The only problem for me was I am that far away from the exchange, the maximum I got was 1.5mb download, but was still OK for online gaming. I am now with Virgin and get 9.8Mb, but have lost connection several times over 6 months. If only O2 had infinity at the time.

I had BT broadband years back, but it was very unreliable and the support was terrible.

I changed to Sky and it was pretty reliable of not blazingly fast, but I've had 4 outages in recent weeks and during the course of that I found that they had been holding my bandwidth artificially low and overcharging me; yesterday's outage was one too many, and I've just signed up to Virgin - due to be installed next week.

Virgin , much better service now , few years ago the 'help' was awful .
Last month they doubled my speed to 60. Very happy.

Few months ago got the modem /router combined...... Hub much easier.

Broadband is exchange specific, so there is no overall 'best'. Do an exchange search on https://www.samknows.com for the available LLU suppliers.
If available LLU, TT are usually the cheapest-but of course there's a reason for that.

Personally I switched to Xilo some years ago, as for business I need a quality service, I realise I pay for this service.

Where you are located may limit yr options in terms of availability of services, cable, LLU, FTTn, etc.

Wanting a good service at a "good price" probably has to be a compromise. At the lower end, I hear better things about Plusnet (UK support centres?).

Aren't they in Bulgaria? Either way, they've been very efficient and professional when I've called... But they are a bit pricey...

yes, they are well-regarded, but are a (mainly) Tiscali/TT reseller for LLU (not many people know that ;) )

As already stated, there's no real "overall best"....for instance, I've been with tiscali and therefore now talktalk for pushing 10 years, with no real problems.

Having said that, know your ISP.....if on TT, use the member's forums for tech support as & when you need it, rather than the non-techie script-monkey call centres ;)

I was with Plusnet but changed to TT simply because they could offer me LLU and upto 24Mbps (i.e. 20M really) and I must admit I am getting real 14Mbps. Plusnet has always been good in the past, and as Robmar0se said they do have UK call centres. I believe that TT support was not too good , and in some respects it is not perfect even now, but I have found some shortcuts. Eventually it is all down to what you have available to you on your exchange , and samknows.com will help you to decide what is there.

Despite this I would recommend Plusnet and TT further to my experiences.

    Plusnet

I think they are an MSE 'best buy' and I find them good.
