My mum popped round to drop some washing off, and i need juice so off i popped to the shop with the sole intention of only buying juice and yes i cam ehome with juice, but also 9 of it's friends :( I was good and only looked in the reduced section, today was fab so many things, worst of all lots of things cheaper than the ones i bought in sainsburys yesterday :( But i bought

    50p cucumber reduced from 95p
    85p 2.5kg potatoes reduced from £1.42
    £2.79 sausages reduces from £3.89

Then budget price swiss roll at 27p - not too bad.

Then there were b1g1f penguins another £1.99 whoops, for 18 bars though.
then got distracted by the terrys choc orange ( my favourite ) was £3.15 on offer at £2

Then at the till i got grabbed by a half price wotsits pack of 12 for £1.69

Oh and i did get my juice at £1.85.

    I came out £13.34 lighter, !!!!!!.

    :(

Fozziebear - I'll be praying for your DD and you and your family. It's awful waiting for results. Hope it's good news when it comes.

Happychick - Hope you're better soon. Look after yourself - lots of hot drinks etc.

Jasmin10 - Hey, we all have bad days. It's only 2 weeks to your payday and you're doing fine. Chin up, pet.

:grouphug: Hugs to everyone who needs one.

Helen jelly - Have a fantastic holiday -you deserve it!

NSD for me today. I've been to work this morning, and spent ages balancing the bank/CCard statement to my accounts book this afternoon :( Really annoyed because Am4zon don't always sent delivery notes with the value on (probably when it's another supplier), so I've spent ages looking on e-mails to work out which was which  I think I'll have to put a notebook beside the PC so when we order anything, we have to write it in the book.

I did start this post yesterday but my computer crashed .............so I did some cleaning instead until it(the computer) decided to stop being in a huff and get on with what computers should do.

Anyway had to recycle glass yesterday in local Mr T's carpark and I dropped in for a whoopsie hunt and I came out with

pack of sausages reduced from 1.99 to 36p
tub of single cream 89p to 12p
cornish pastie (me and dog had for supper!) down to 9p
fresh minestrone soup from 1.99 to 43p

Had enough to treat DD2 to bar of t*sco chocolate at 30p and still had change from £1.50!
Soup and cream in freezer -sausages eaten for tea.
off to update signature and quickly submit this before the computer decides to turn its hog out!

Hugs to all that need them and pats on the back for everyone too!

Sorry to hear your news Fozzie. Fingers crossed it will be just a cyst.

I let my guard down tonight and popped into Mr M's with DH to get a birthday card and some cat litter. Ending up spending £11.12 on groceries - some reduced new potatoes, reduced apple pie, reduced burgers plus a few other things. Nothing extravagant but I am annoyed with myself nonetheless. With one exception (DS needed deodorant urgently) I could have waited for the majority of it. I got lured in by the bargains.

I was already feeling low today and this hasn't helped.

  • Hugs to everyone who needs them, tomorrow's another day, and especially wishing and hoping for your DD fozzie.

Another NSD. Leftover lunch for me and baba, lovely chicken and rice one pot for tea with some suspect green beans and spinach. Feeling shattered, and no bread left for hubby's packed lunch, but looked at our good-looking spends diary this week and thought, nope I'm not ruining it for the sake of being too lazy to pop some flour in the bread maker! So hot bread for brek in the morning, and ham sarnies for hubby. Tomorrow's lined up so we'll definitely make it to our weekly shop on Friday. Yay!

  • Bad day today, poor DD (only 22) found a lump and was referred to breast clinic, went for scan and they did an immediate biopsy......I am obviously terrified and trying not to show it.

Any positive thoughts and prayers you can spare will be gratefully received while my girl waits for the result :(

£20 spent on taxis and buses to and from hospital.

Sending you lots of positive thoughts :A
