Our adult children can still be a worry.
Yes, they can.
Well done, 7DWE. I hope your son is happy in his own flat. There's really nothing like having your own front door and being able to do as you wish.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

Thanks to everyone for your good wishes. My son is very happy living in the flat and still can't believe sometimes that he has a 'grown-up' thing like a mortgage. Because of the Aspergers, he thinks a bit' differently' to other people. His girlfriend is on the autistic spectrum too, so they understand each other !
He sent me this cartoon, which really made me laugh. My son knows himself very well! It could easily have been entitled 'B--'s visit to the Solicitor's Office':

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
7DWE I love the cartoon, your son has a good sense of humor, I hope he will be very happy in his new life x0

Love it! I've often wondered if I 'think differently to other people'. So often I seem to be at odds with 'what most people think', and that has always been the case, since childhood. It seems to be even more so now I'm in the 70+ age-group. It may be because I didn't have a very traditional upbringing, but that shouldn't matter now. Anyway, DH and I understand each other, and that's all that matters.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.
