OP, could I suggest that you no longer go out on your birthday dressed in a black hooded cape and carrying a scythe.

    Happy birthday anyway.

Belated Birthday wishes LS!!! as they say - excrement happens, pity it was on a special day for you though.
Hope that it gets all the 'bad' out of the way for your year though!

It was my birthday yesterday too. It didn't get off to a good start when I knocked over the bedside bucks fizz I'd treated myself to.

I made the bad decision to go out without a coat because I was humid to start with, got desperately soaked in all the rain. Forgot to charge my mobile and it died on me so struggled to co-ordinate meeting my friends for dinner and I rounded off the evening throwing up with food poisoning.

Let's hope that's my bad luck for the year done with too LS.

So I treated myself to a day out.

On my travels, I came across a scene with a dead body, with the police holding up traffic just off Piccadilly Circus for a few hours, a dead pigeon with wings "flapped" by moving traffic and tons of gore,

and to top it all, when gazing at a train timetable, tried to not stare at the person being revived by medical personnel under the timetable signs, desperately torn between getting the information I needed to catch the train, and not to be perceived as rubbernecking some poor unfortunate's catastrophe.

I did succeed in not actually rubbernecking, and have no idea if they were male, female, young or old, but have to confess to giving up getting the information from the sign when so distracted by my feelings that I simply took a blind stab in the dark (and slightly educated guess based on past experience) as to which platform I needed! Lol.

Every time I start to regret moving to the West Midlands, someone posts something somewhere which reminds me of what London is like..........

I dread my birthdays......I was born on 27th January routinely 'celebrated' as Holocaust Memorial Day.

I was thinking.................could I have a 'real' and an 'official' birthday, like the Queen?

I'd really like a Summer birthday - I might be one year older, bad things will still happen, but at least there's a fighting chance of better weather and slightly more cheery people......:o
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...

You may do whatever you wish! Just inform everyone that you will be celebrating your birthday on such- and- such a date and voila. Obviously you'll use your real birthdate on important things but you shall have a wonderful, sunny birthday on the date of your choosing.
May I recommend the 17th of June? ;) It's often sunny, close to Father's Day (so less chance of forgeting that) and you'll become even more intelligent and attractive as a result of having that "birthday" :D :rotfl:
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.
