It was my birthday yesterday :)

So I treated myself to a day out.
On my travels, I came across a scene with a dead body, with the police holding up traffic just off Piccadilly Circus for a few hours, a dead pigeon with wings "flapped" by moving traffic and tons of gore,
and to top it all, when gazing at a train timetable, tried to not stare at the person being revived by medical personnel under the timetable signs, desperately torn between getting the information I needed to catch the train, and not to be perceived as rubbernecking some poor unfortunate's catastrophe.
I did succeed in not actually rubbernecking, and have no idea if they were male, female, young or old, but have to confess to giving up getting the information from the sign when so distracted by my feelings that I simply took a blind stab in the dark (and slightly educated guess based on past experience) as to which platform I needed! Lol.

They say bad luck comes in threes and you saw 3 lots of it yesterday. Lets hope the rest of your birthday year will run smoothly. Hope you enjoyed your special day. How did you end up celebrating it?The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0

Thank you for the good wishes.

There were assorted good bits. I went to a restaurant where there's normally a bit of entertainment (Wong Kei in Chinatown) and it didn't fail to amuse,
was pleasantly surprised by a nice shopkeeper giving me an extra item for free (my friend was right, those boots do things for me. Lol),
and then was absently gazing at a bracelet that caught my eye, but came down to a earth with a jolt when I read the label saying "Art Deco, Tiffany's, ... £22,000) Lol.0 -
