... apart from the £50+ fee and the inconvenience of having to go back again to get a PASS "Now to trolling as a concept. .... It's not just the temperature changes, but the flexing of the body which a Ford Ka does quite a lot of when driven"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Ah but according to the Autoglass advert you have to get it done quick, as a change in temperature will cause the windscreen to crack right across. :cool:I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -

There's nowt Autoglass or anyone else can do with a crack that size other than replace the screen.Autoglass® doesn't repair cracks ...
If its chipped, it should be repaired as a matter of urgency to prevent a crack occurring.
What I suspect has happened here is that the crack propogated despite, or perhaps because of, the attempted repair. That happens sometimes ...
Either way, the windscreen does now need to be replaced as a matter or urgency if the vehicle is to be used."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Getting your windscreen replaced should not affect no claims or your renewal quote - although you will have to pay the excess.Save £200 a month : [STRIKE]Oct[/STRIKE] Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr0

If Autoglass repaired the original chip and it has cracked off then it will be covered under their lifetime guarantee. If it has cracked from the point of repair they should put you a new screen in FOC. Alternatively get some quotes for a new screen. You may find some of the small independant fitters could do it for around £80 ish.Light blue touchpaper and stand well back !0

You wish!
Autoglass will charge the price of a replacement screen, but will deduct the price of the failed attempted repair.
Edit: As it says on their website:We repair first

Of coarse there's nowt they can do about a crack that size, however, you are missing the point of my post, which was that their advertising was misleading.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -

That was over 2 weeks ago.
You still banging on about this?
If you are so concerned about their advertising, report it.

If that's in the wiper sweep then it's a fail unless the tester doesn't spot it.
With a £60 excess and a Ka screen don't even think about an insurance claim or even mentioning it to your insurer. Ring around local independent screen fitters and get it replaced0
