Click on the username in one of the posts and you will see the option for the ignore list at the very bottom of the drop-down menu. Unless you are trying to ignore someone from admin or a board guide, who can't be put on ignore so won't have that option showing.Be careful who you open up to. lol.
I'd never attempt ignore the people that are intrinsically helpful and put hours into other people having a smooth experience - they are too deserving of respect.
I get a drop down, and next to "add to ignore" it is "add to contacts" - is that it? Sorry, trying to find "buddy list".
Thank you so much Q, I really appreciate you coming and helping. :jNo debts. No credit cards. No store cards. No mortgage. No CCJs. High credit rating intact. Living frugally. Want to start business soon. Trying to keep head above water; while standing on own feet; staying within the law; and not falling into debt. Looking to raise income, who isn't?0 -

The drop down menu I was talking about is the one you get when you just click on the user name in a post (try with mine on this post).
The buddy list is in your user cp (see the bar at the top of the page just under the banner - bar saying "Main site" "forum", "user cp", "community"... You can also click on "community" and you find the contact list. This shows everyone you added.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
When I click your user name I get the drop down menu, with about five options - the fourth is add to contacts, the fifth is ignore. No Buddy option.

The "buddy" option is the "add to contacts". There is no facility called "buddy".
When you want to see all your contacts, you click on user cp or community and select "contacts". That's the whole thing.

LOL you got me there in the end.
So the contacts don't know I have added them and they are sort of my buddies? And my email is still secret from them?
Q - you will never, ever, go on ignore.

No your buddy list is private to you, so you can find your favourite posters easily. They don't need to know and nobody can find out what you have on your lists, whether contacts or ignored. Your user cp is private to you alone.
You mean email address? If you haven't put it in your profile then I doubt anyone can see it.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -

I may have to put Strangetron on my favourite posters list. They are hilarious so long as you don't buy into it emotionally. I have just seen how incredibly helpful and patient you are in any situation (well, unless you lost it later in the thread I read).
Maybe I should not laugh as much as I did, but I used to work in customer services so I very rarely get hooked. No debts. No credit cards. No store cards. No mortgage. No CCJs.
