Virginmedia - Moved House, Nothing but PROBLEMS!!

Hoping someone can help.
We moved house about 6 weeks ago. We'd previously been on VM for all our services in the old house, so we decided to stay with them, but were told we would have to start a new contract at the new house.
Everything was fine for the first 2 weeks, then the broadband started playing up. iPhones couldn't connect to the WiFi, even though the network was showing up on the phones. Then the laptop couldn't pick up the signal. Spoke to Virgin, said they couldn't see what the problem was, but sent a new wireless router/modem (?) This seemed to fix the problem for a matter of days, and now the WiFi signal constantly drops in and out. Can't watch Youtube for instance, you get a max. of 25 seconds of video before it disconnects. It's been impossible to speak with a person at VM over the last few days.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has had the same problems, or know how to fix it? I can't cope for another 11 months of this!!

The speed is horrendous as well. Supposed to be upto 10mb, but last night I tested it and got 1.56mb.0

Cable or ADSL National customer?
Also...10mb has limited bandwidth, if you are doing heavy downloads on cable it will be throttled.
The wifi issues sound like you might have alot of people using the same channel, call their support and ask them to talk you through changing the wifi channel to see if that helps.0 -
The wi-fi in your house issue is nothing to do with VM. They are responsible for giving you a service to the router only, from the router to your devices is your responsibility. But as above, the first thing to do is change the channel, you may have a neighbour running on the same one and causing interference, download and run InSSIDer to check which channel is best.
But have you tried connecting by ethernet to confirm that it is a wireless issue? You don't VM to help you do the basic checks. No free lunch, and no free laptop
