RBS & Santander Question..

Hmmm not sure what to make of this... if anyone can help ?

I have done the branch transfer and finally left my English RBS account and moved to a Scottish one and all is well... but today i have got a letter saying

My details are changing for digital banking etc and there is 2 sections

Your accounts staying with RBS

Your accounts moving to santander

Now it doesn't list what accounts i.e the number etc but i know my Scottish account is staying with rbs but this does raise the question what happened to my English account ? is it still being moved to santander ? and i still have this account? so i'll have a santander debit card soon....

(it says i have a new customer number which will be registered by the 20th of may) -this is for the santander one.

confused as hell here... so this means im still gonna have a santander account even tho i did a branch transfer? 0.o

How many accounts are showing when you check online? It suggests that there is still an account in your name in England.

Q1. Did you move your account(s) to Scotland yourself or did you use the RBS transfer service? If you did it yourself, you probably now have 2 accounts. A new one in Scotland and the old one not in Scotland (which might be closed or not). If you used the RBS transfer service, your old account will have been transferred to Scotland. new sort code, new account number, but same old account.

Q2. When you login online, do any of your accounts still have a 16-xx-xx sort code? Those in Scotland are 83-xx-xx and any accounts that are not going to Santandire will have been moved to a new account number with a Scottish sort code.

    Q1

I use the branch transfer and all my accounts are based in scotland and they wont be touched.

    Q2

All accounts are 83 sort codes

So i think this could be my old English account open somewhere? and it's going to santander?

It sounds like a mistake to me, perhaps the mailing list was created before your accounts were transferred to Scotland?

They may well have sent the same letter to everyone - mine's transferred and I got it too.

same here i think its just a mass mailing - since transferring has anyone had sales call from their old branch ? we've asked them 3 times over the past few years not to call us and Ive requested this is noted on our account but we got a call last week implying the Scottish branch we are now with are looking to remove our overdraft facility and we should think about consolidating that + our credit card , after ringing the Scottish branch we've found out that isn't the case .

But my other savings account WHICH IS sort code 83 is being moved to santander i have to log in the santander/rbs page to view that.

    !!!!!!

    not bothered tho
