selling to money for your phone problems
howdy all,
dont know if this is even in the right place so feel free to tell me off etc
my girlfriend sent off a HTC desire HD to moneyforyourmobile.com at a cost of over 6quid. we have sold to loads of phone people things before with no problems.
nest day or so later we get an email saying that the phone is damaged and they cant pay us the 118.00 as per there web site and that can only pay 65.00.
we saked for details about what was wrong and they came back saying that the volume swich is damaged on the handset
(was 100% totally fine when we had it) we then asked for some kind of photo proof for this. got reply back saying they cant do that and did we want 65.00 or the phone back.
we got the phone back in the post today and they are right the volume button is damged but it was never like that at all when we had it and i think they have damged it. as i know me and the mrs are both very carefull with our phones her even more so to a really high level.
the damage to me looks like a screw driver or something has been put on the voume swich as the damge is very neat fold to the aluminimum swich.
so now we 6 quid out of pocket and got a broken phone now to.
any help or ideas
gang?

It's going to come down to proof I'd imagine. Have you spoken to them and found out what their complaints procedure is (or even if they have one). If you've used them a lot they might be more inclined to help you out, if they are certain that that's the condition they received the phone in then it looks like a Royal Mail claim. Assuming the cost you paid, you used Special delivery?0
