Hello its seems like a simple concept and a very useful one too. Is there any websites where you can set you flight criteria, then set a maximum price? When a flight becomes available for that price or less on a price comparision website, you are alerted via email or text? I found a perfect flight a week ago for £507 on a skyscanner. I booked time off in work, now the price has shot upto 650 + and thats for less attractive flights. If its not already been invented, there is a millionaire maker for all you IT geeks! My idea passed, simply for a cheap flight!

If not i want flights for manchester - bangkok in novemeber. Whens the best time to book. Am i best booking now or should the prices drop. Bear in mine, ive just got back from thailand and only paid £520 for those flights and that was over, songkran, thai new year! flights over christmas and new year are only 650 ish too.

Flight prices change due to airline yield management software, any information in an e mail alert may be out of date because of price sensitivity and may just irritate because of this.

Thanks for the advice so far.. Bear in mind, 6 months to, is it likely the price will come back down or is it generally going to keep going up from now?

It all depends how their seats are selling.
World events will effect prices as will competition via the budget airlines.
A graph for last year does not represent trends for this year.
I use a simple formula. If its within my budget-book it. If its not - I don't.
