Im sure tesco will be hit hard by you and your partner not returning to the store. You are just a small needle in the haystack and wont affect their profits. I think you are just hoping to get a few money off vouchers by making all these complaints, honestly just leave it you wont get anywhere, staff are just there for their wages and dont really care about customers.

Disagree.Think the OP is genuinly upset.

Agree - In fact Tesco will be quite happy to see the back of the OP and his partner. The man is obsessed. 2 separate posts here with a threat to keep us informed, and the same diatribe on the blog! Ridiculous.
More to the point it's inconceivable IMO that a mispriced item issue (which isn't explained) could degenerate without some kind of irrational, unreasonable attitude from the complainant first. What happened? He/they highlighted a misprice and the store staff said F*** off you W******!? I don't think so...

    To answer recent comments:

No, it is not about vouchers, it has always been about their behaviour. All I want is an apology but that seems beyond Tesco. If I was chancing my arm as a couple of you have suggested, I would have given up at the first hurdle.

I have not detailed the initial CS query as it was a routine Mispriced item query. However I have given what is very likely to be the reason for their poor attitude.

I do not feel I am obsessed with the matter. I do not spend every waking hour thinking about it. There are other issues in my life at the minute that are getting a lot more attention that this.

Changed my view a little on this.It does seem strange how you are leaving certain bits out.

MY GRANNY HAD A SAYING YEARS AGO, AS FOLLOWS....
    "PICK YOUR BATTLES
    ......MAKE THEM FEW
    .......THINK THEM OUT
    ......AND SEE THEM THROUGH"

There are so many issues nowadays that annoy us all, especially in and around poor service. As I have become more mature I have become more complacent and I let a lot of issues pass over me. Some times my new found apathy annoys me and I really feel like complaining, but I don't... first of all I think what will I gain from this........ if the answer is nothing but stress (as it seems to be with you and Tesco) then my sanity is worth more to me than any corporate apology.

At the end of the day it was the initial contact with the staff member and her line manager that caused your annoyance.........who knows what problems or issues caused them to treat you that way, what ever the reason, let it go.

    Hi Niterider

...........With regards Tescos I do know that with the new targets HQ have introduced, staff are very unhappy, they are rushed off their feet, get low pay and have managers who always seem to be sick! ..........

    Could you elucidate please?

I think it was 20p. The reason I have not detailed this so much was that it was a routine CS query and we treated the staff with respect as we always do. As I have stated earlier I am convinced their bad attitude stemmed from events earlier in the day, long before we were even in the shop.

I have paraphrased events on here because I did not want the post to be as long as that on the Tesco Blogspot. The reason it was all chapter and verse there was that I had heard that Tesco sometimes act when exposed on that site and I wanted to give them both barrels.

I have not hidden anything deliberately. The point to which the Store Manager took exception was a note I made in a follow-up e-mail to Customer Services. In my opinion he made more of it to avoid discussion about our complaint. He just said basically I have investigated your complaint and the two staff denied it. Had the store manager asked the staff in question to apologise then you would not all be reading about it here.

I posted on MSE mainly to inform all users of this experience and, even more so, the inept performance by Tesco Customer Service. Gonna sound corny but I will say it anyway, my partner was very upset, that could be your partner, daughter, mother etc. Easy to criticise me but if they came home in tears you might do the same as me.

I have no financial motivation as a few people have suggested. If I get any vouchers, I will give some to my partner to make up for the upset, the rest probably to my mother and a friend perhaps. I do not want to shop in Tesco now anyway!

Incase anyone wonders why the double posting, I couldn't decide where, In the Vent forum and NI MSErs may miss it and vice versa, if you get my drift. Perhaps not a wise decision but it's done now.

Someone on the other forum suggested that I take an A-board and highlight my issue. Might appeal to some people but even I am not going that far :D

Apart from a few people most MSErs have made useful and supportive comments and I thank you for that. :)

I won't be online until tomorrow so if anyone posts, I am not ignoring you.
