Another example where I was correct and you just had to say I was wrong.In answer to the OP you would get IS at £85.60 (includes carer premium)
and a disability premium of £43.25
TOTAL = £128.85 per week0 -

If you are successsful in your claim for IS, your child will get free school meals, and possibly paid transport to school (depending on distance) and a uniform grant (some local authorities have this, but not all. Where I live, it is paid in July and is £29.50 for primary age and £44.50 for secondary age).
How can I find out about school uniform grant in my area?0 -

Ring your local council and ask for the education benefits department. Ask if they have uniform grants in your area.
Also, if your child is at high school, he or she may be able to get a free bus pass. Ask at the same department. It does depend on distance to the school.0 -

I did say in my earlier post that only some areas have uniform grants. It isn't compulsory for councils to give them, and with so many cuts, I think it has probably been stopped in many areas over recent years.0
