I think I originally got my pc about seven years ago, but it's been upgraded to the point only floppy drive is the original so I'm not sure how you can determine the age of the pc.

My cpu, motherboard, memory and graphics card are what change the most. Currently 6 months old.

My case is my oldest part. Got it about 4 years ago.

You can get much the same difficulty if someone asks you how new your PC is, because the data on it gets updated every second or two!

All parts incl OS (except the ones below): 19 months or more (most secondhand/new off eBay to keep costs down)

DVD-RW drive: 7 months (purchased new)

TFT Monitor: 6 months (purchased new)

Got an AST 286 16mhz with 16mb ram.

Still used for some very low level configuration file setups for a commercial fiche printer. Also do some sys dumps from printer to it. All because the software wont run under windows 1 or above

my current PC is 4 weeks old, previous one was about 8 years old but the only original bits were the case, floppy drive and PSU.

All my older PCs have been sold on or freecycled.

I don't use them now but I still have an Atari STFM and an Acorn Electron, both in working order. The Electron is about 25 years old now I think.

I've even got an Atari Jaguar console somewhere.
It's my problem, it's my problem

And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die
