Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 10th May. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in,put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help othersthat don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly butif not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you goto bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two dailythreads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning all,

Guess what ??? its raining again :(, its more like winter here, lets hope we have a scorching summer to make up for it :D

Off to work today, bust time atm so the day should fly by, dinner tonight id fish cakes chips and peas, so no real effort there.

    Morning everyone

Love and hugs to those that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x

Raining again, started in the night, so very wet underfoot everywhere again. DH up and off to work stupid early.

Dinner last night was stew and dumplings, mash, carrots, broccolli and cabbage - was yummy, the meat had cooked beautifully and was nice and tender. Tonight dinner will probably be fish, chips/jacket pot and beans/veg or if I get chance I'll make a lasagne and we'll have that with chips/salad. Have lots to do today, I'm going for a haircut shortly, then to the bank, and then to SM to buy a side of salmon and a couple of other bits, need to get home and pack for us and for the boys, packing won't be too bad, as overpacked last weekend for the boys and left all their unworn clothes in the bag, so will just check through and add more of anything needed. Want to get some housework done and need to organise uniforms etc for Monday - so I'm not running round last thing Sunday night when we get back. Have an on-line shop being delivered between 3-4pm - so that lifts the pressure somewhat.

Am looking forward to our weekend away and at last the weather looks a bit better, some hoping to get a nice stroll around on Saturday whilst menfolk are in their meeting.

Hugs to those that want/need them, keep safe and well x

    Morning everyone.
Like all of you the wet stuff is back. Hammered it down last night  was dry just for dog walking and actually despite it being windy its a warm wind, not cold. I can cope with the wet stuff if it's not chilly :o
Plans today are to vac. Again. Got a bit more washing so get through, am puppy sitting my mums dog this afternoon while she goes walking with her friends and has lunch so basically not much will get done this arv with those two hooligans together :rotfl:
Might make some twinks too :)
Keep having probs with sciatica and getting in my t*ts now :( it's this horrible ache, tried yoga and ibuprofen and it's not stopped it <sign> sometimes I wish I had the body of a 37 year old and not the 90 year old I currently have grrrr.

Anyway enough moaning :o tea is devilled sausages. Might do them with a baked potato.

Hugs and spoons all round. Have a good day OS or not.

Marie has Kerry appeared? Sending you big hugs xxxx

    Morning everyone,

Can I join in please? Fairly new to posting after lurking for a while!

Very stressful day here as we move house tomorrow! So the plan today is finish packing, clean as much as possible, go to see solicitor, try and think of something quick and easy for tea (might just have chippy tea) and generally just get through the day.

    Val xx

    Morning :hello:

Cassie's fine  She's running around as normal, except when she goes near the edge of the run. She slows right down and picks her route very carefully :D

Bitsy I forgot you have sciatica too. Literally a pain in the bum :D Remember I said I'm going to concentrate on the exercises and sort it out once and for all? Well I got carried away and did far too many, been limping around like a right old limpy thing since about 2pm yesterday :rotfl:

I've been having a think about people and the difference between their wants and needs. I've separated these people into groups and have decided to cut off the 'wants'. I can't be doing with them, so out they go :D I haven't actually done anything about this yet because I only decided this morning, but I feel free already.

Back to strict [STRIKE]meanness[/STRIKE] frugaldom for me. I spent £12 on two shirts for interviews. I had one decent shirt but managed to put a hole in it by walking too close to the door into the bedroom, the handle went up the sleeve :rotfl: I've been lazy in the kitchen, I have a fab cooker and have hardly used it for the last few months. I'll start gently today, with cake :D I'll be sweeping the carpets, Henry will be lonely for a while. That'll save on elec. and give me some exercise at the same time.
