Old Faithful we roam the range together,
Old Faithful in any kind of weather,
When the round up days are over,
And the Boulevard’s white with clover,
For you old faithful pal of mine.
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is yellow tonight,
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is mellow and bright,
There’s a coyote crying at the moon above,
Carry me back to the one I love,
And you old faithful pal of mine.

I've hit a snag. I ordered 5 phones (big family) and they have limited me to 2! I did the credit check Zopa and scored over 500 so I think I will try again for the extra phones tomorrow!

I seem to remember reading once that "3" often had a policy of only allowing sometone to have 2 contract phones regardless of credit rating. May be worth asking CPW whether they refused to allow their near loss-leader to get broader coverage (fair enough), or if it was 3.

I have 2 three "3togo" phones (it's like virgin - contract, but with monthly rental of 0.00 pcm). I ordered a single 2.99 deal to use the SIM in my current phone (A925).

I would rather like an A1000 instead, but the total yearly price is around 250 - maybe when it's < 100 I'll go for it.

Just to let you know that I've got 3 phones on the '3' network, two 7600s when they were on offer at £4.99 a month, with free bluetooth headset (6 months ago) and I bought this NEC e616 last week with no problems at all. :)

I think you should try again and see what happens.

This looks like a good deal.
Is it too good to be true ?
Maybe I am getting a bit paranoid as i've been stung by Forwardcellular recently !

Managed to get two more phones from "3" - my wife and I know have two each! They ignored my extra order requests on the same day that they cut my order for 5 down to 2 but now we are back in!

The phones look good, come with USB cable, spare battery and hands free. All we need know are some genuine free download sites for ringtones and games for the kids! :rotfl:
  • I also took up the offer but received a NEC c616 model rather than the e616. It has this model number on the screen and also on the IMEI number sticker.

Anybody else receive this model or know of the differences?????

So far though no problems and seems a great phone.

Think the c616 has Chinesse localisation, the e616 doesn't. But as long as it has English, there shouldn't be any problems.

Pop the USIM & battery in, plug it into the mains and have a good read of the documentation while it charges!

You need to register too - you can do this at https://www.mycarphonewarehouse.com or by calling them. I did the former, and am waiting 4 hours later (advised it could take 48). Until registered you cannot make/receive calls.

Impressions of phone - pretty rubbish (compared to motorola 3G phones). Nice ringtones though. Hey I only got it for the cheap calls, to use in my A925 so fine.

At the end of the day it's pretty unbeatable deal. If the phone causes problems, call 3. If they can't fix they'll no doubt end up replacing it for something else.
