    Why on earth has this country descended into a mindset that everything has always got to be someone elses "fault" usually accompanied by the outstretched hand for the compo? :mad::mad::mad:

    My first thought was also that its a wind-up too but I have a feeling deep in the pit of me stomach that the OP is deadly serious. As phil said - fit a blind for heavens sake.

    If the man at the council said anything but take a hike then that would be worrying.

    Like others have said blind/curtain or if you can get your hands on any disfuse film and put that on the window.

    Told my dad and he said place a mirror on window sill to reflect light back on them.

    Some people really do sound rather pathetic. They can afford a wall mounted TV but not a cheap blind. The mind boggles!
    I can afford anything that I want.
