Hi All,

Was considering buying one of these as we have a 1-year-old, another on the way in december, and a relatively new car so would like to try and keep the rear car seats from getting hashed by baby seats.

Then I thought surely it can't be that difficult to make something yourself that would do the job, then I thought surely someone else has had the same idea!

So has anyone else tried making a DIY car seat protector?

thanks in advance

The only time i use any sort of car seat protector is when i'm working on the car and have dirty overalls on. Then it's only an old sheet or a binbag.

Yes and no LOL. My leather seats have never looked the same since having children. I did have one of these but TBH it was more hassle than it was worth. You must make sure that whatever you use doesn't cause the seat to slide forwards/sideways.

I know it's not what you were asking, but Mr A and Wilkos do whole back seat protectors for £5.50

Might be worth asking in the Sewing Annexe on Old Style?

I found the Old style board but couldn't find the 'sewing annexe', do you have a link?
