Hi Again
Many Thanks for the well wishes for OH, he is currently zonked out on the sofa. Took him ages from the sedation to being able to be brought home. Told the dental nurse several times that he is buying chickens on the way home! No idea where that has come from :rotfl: luckily the 2 teeth came out well so they didn't need to do anything to his jawbone. Hopefully he will sleep for quite a while and isn't in too much pain when the numbness wears off though we have got some strong painkillers in.0 -

Hi chums,
I went to Bluewater today as I had to buy two lots of birthday presents as my lovely little DGS Mikey is 8 on 1st June and his next brother up Henry is 11 on the 3rd June so its an expensive month.I took my lovely DD who is always working so hard to lunch as a treat at Carlucci's.We blew what was left of my holiday cash that was left over and had a great meal. She loves italian food so it was a nice treat as she doesn't often get to have a peaceful lunch with her Mum without children being around (even though we both love the kids to bits):)
I got the boys presents so thats a job done and dusted and I shan't be stepping near to a shop for the rest of the month I think.I also treated her to a couple of nighties as her's to say the least, have seen better days ,but when you have a tribe to feed and clothe then Mum comes way down the list. She was so chuffed it was worth every penny bless her.She is such a good lass and never thinks of herself at all.
I think the boys will be pleased with their presents Big swingball set for Henry plus an 'Angry Birds ' tee shirt and some books, and for Mikey he has got some books and a giant Jenga set that I know he had been longing for since Christmas and a pair of 'Spiderman P.J.s that will put a big smile on his face. They are good little lads and never ask for anything from their Mum as they know its sometimes a bit of a streeetch for cash in their house so I like to give them a little bit extra if I can.I have now reverted to 'frugal mode until mid August when we all go away on our family holiday to Norfolk so I shall be saving my pennies up until then. Its good to have a splurge sometimes though, I do it about two or three times a year and its usually on the children but that's Grannie's job to give them a little treat now and again isn't it.
Well I'm off to have a cuppa as I couldn't eat anything else tonight after our 'blow-out' lunch I'm still full up.
Take care everyone
Cheers JackieO xx0 -
All control and restrained out, its a great course but by heck my wrists and hands are in agony! OS wise nothing for past 3 days, tomorrow will collect holiday tickets, sort out rest of holiday clothes that need freshened up, and ransack the freezer to see what I need to get for the little dears whilst we are away!
Essex-girl you are bringing back some memories....when I had my 4 wisdom teeth out the bottom ones were so badly impacted they had to take a bit of my jaw out, lived on soup yoghurt and custard for weeks and OH wont sit beside me when eating , he describes it as like eating with a giant death watch beetle, my jaw clicks so much!RIP Iain

So much for good intentions. I've started the ironing four times and each time had to break off to make coffee for visitors/talk for 40 minutes to a suicidal girl on the phone/draft a letter for the Rev/cook lunch/ dash up to the PO to post a parcel/find a birthday card and write letter to go inside for 92 year-old lady/.....oh! and I do believe I went to the loo a couple of times. Sometimes I feel like locking the door and not coming out again. How did this take all day? Ah, and I forgot the half a dozen times a kindly person rang me to urge me to reclaim my (non-existent) PPI.

I'm giving up for tonight. I'll wait for the Rev to get in from one of her interminable meetings in case she wants to let off steam and then I'm off to bed.
Sleep well everybody.I believe that friends are quiet angels

So it is now on next doors verge......It's a good job we have great neighbours on both sides.
Spent all day baking so there is enough bread, cakes and biccies until next weekend. I made 2 apple braids as well I haven't made any in ages so I am sitting here with a coffee and a slice nom nom nom forgot how lovely it is thank you D&DD.
(((((Hugs))))) to all in need, special mention to Marie, monnogran, the Rev and Mr Essex xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
