If it is 'obvious' that the buyer has inflated their p and p then simply don't bid. That's the quickest way of dealing with it, if a seller stops selling they will soon adjust their postage costs.
However, whilst I would not bid on something that was blatant, like the 1p items from the Far East with £9.99 postage I would bid where postage was stated at £4 and arrived with a pounds worth of stamps, but I would take the postage costs off when setting the price I want to pay so I wouldn't pay more than I wanted.

razorbladekisses wrote:As many people have said over and over, when you place a bid you are agreeing to the cost of postage and packaging. If you don't believe an item costs X amount to post then quite simply look elsewhere.
You can't have been overcharged if you agreed to the postage and packaging costs.
I do look round and take the postage costs into consideration. I just felt a little annoyed that the actual cost was alot less. I tend to be fairer.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

susplum wrote:What it boils down to is any buyer agrees the P+P costs when buying so no-one can really complain. People (not just on this thread) seem to forget that its postage AND packaging.
For example if I charged £3 P+P on an item that cost £1 to post plus £1 for packaging then I had to get the bus to my nearest PO to pay postage and send it costing me 80p each way on the bus, then as a seller I'm down 60p on P+P.
i think this logic is rubbish, please dont be offended.
when i sell an item i would do a special trip to the postoffice spending X ammount on buses etc. Whewn i sell an item if its by currior i take it to work and the item is collected from there. if however the item is only for post theni take it on my lunch, or my partner takes it on a lunch time, or when im in town. i live around 2 miles from my nearest post office, i would not get a taxi or a bus to post an item, i would take the item when im neaer the post office.
all in all, my item was posted in a cheat envelope that cost around 5p. there is NO justifying excesive postage, unless you live in the nrth of Scotland and need to get on a ferry to get into town. In reality, no one does a special trip to the post office to post an item that is worth peanuts. All the big powers they've silenced me. the buyer cant know how much the postage is going to be because you cant weigh it before you recieve it so you expect the seller to be honest and fair0
