BT Infinity 18 Month

I'm moving to a new property in central London with 5 heavy internet users and so we were looking at fiber broadband.

The only offering in the UK at the moment appears to be BT Infinity, but they only have 18 month contracts.

We are only going to be in the house for a year and so can't really sign on an 18 month contract (and bt infinity won't be in place where we move back to so we couldn't just move the subscription).

What would you advice? Does anyone know of a fiber provider like a subletter of BT that offers 12 month contracts?

I was going to suggest Plusnet as a better option, (same service but cheaper), but an 18m contract is also required.
Check out the other BT fibre resellers.
Fibre requires an engineer install and a more expensive modem, so the contracts are longer.

Is Virgin Media cable available? Their phone charges are expensive, but broadband can cost less than BT Infinity. VM might also be 18 month contracts though.

This is what annoys me 'Infinity' is just BT's brand name for FTTC and FTTP service. You all will have seen the adverts "only available on Infinity" is grossly misleading.

Currently theres around 18 ISP offering FTTC, 16 of which offer better service. Decent well regarded from memory ISP's with 12 month contract then on to 30 day rolling are:-

Just check the usage top three i know you can uprgrade to higher or lower pack within contract. Nearest you would get to unlimited is after 8pm with ADSL24 on business pack. Home pack is after 12pm.
May need a router cheap as chips from £40, plus line rental such as post office or www.yourcalls.net.

Why would this annoy you ??, its a BT Retail advert and 'Infinity' is the BT Retail brand name for its FFTC/FTTH product...an advert for Ipad doesnt say other tablets available, why would any company advertise for a competitor ??,
if any of the ISP's you list want to advertise their FTTC product there is nothing stopping them,

Because its infering the product is only available by them, the brand is and thats the key. Infinity is brand name only as in FTTC or FTTP there are loads of others.
Considering this most people havent a clue what FTTC is.

I dare say one of their resellers could brand one as 'Infinity X' offering customer service.
