I was looking through a few websites at what phones are available and noticed the following link..

http://www.billmonitor.com/

It asks you to put in your login details for your phone provider website (the online billing function etc) and it will analyse your bill for the last 3 months, work out what you use and compare that to your current tarrif to see if your overpaying. Oh and before anyone thinks its a mickie mouse dodgy company its approved by Ofcom.

In my case I was a bit shocked as I had like 600 minutes and found as as an average I was using about 140... similar with data because in work I dont really use it and when I get home it connects to my wifi straight away!

You can then pick the phone your looking to get at say contract renewal (or a new contract) or even pick sim only and it will work out what you will save but it's clever in that it will average out if you've made any calls outside your plan etc!
If anyone hasn't used it give it a go... it defo opened my eyes to what I'm really using (And paying too much for!)

I even did a very MSE thing and went onto my phone providers website and downgraded my tarrif and shaved about £7 a month off until it renews now :)!If anyone has already posted this btw i'm sorry!

It's not a bad site with a few caveats.

Phones are getting more expensive and the subsidy amount relates to your monthey contract, so hence most current contracts don't allow much reduction in tarriffs during the mimimum term.

If your at the end of a contract or looking for a new contract it's a good idea, but if you are in contract and not near the end of the term you are usually stuck..
