The latest update is the finance company won't allow us to VT as they say that the turbo has experienced normal wear and tear. Peugeot say we are liable as these things happen and after all the car is 8 years old. What they are failing to remember is their initial diagnosis that there are 8 litres of oil in the car that shouldn't be there and that this has caused the whole problem and are focussing solely on the turbo having blown and causing damage to the engine. Peugeot are also failing to remember that they have been solely responsible for the car and all it's servicing so they have put in the extra oil.

It won't be oil, it'll be diesel in the sump. What exactly was the problem with the cerine fluid?

whats happened Karbee is the turbo has run on the diesel thats been getting into the sump and exploded the engine
now you can either listen to the chancers on here who just want to belittle my posts or you do as i suggested yesterday and have an engineers report to apportion blame
as it is at the moment its all down to you and operator error so its up to you to blame dealer

    i really cant add anymore

You stop paying and get it repossessed lol.

However, it wont look good on your CRA.

Anyway, i assume the car is low-ish mileage with it having unburnt diesel in the sump. This is one of the problems with moderns diesels. Mazda's suffer with the same problem. moind, its the same engine anyway.

Not quite right. The turbo running on the diesel is utter rubbish as it runs off exhaust gases turning vanes as they pass through the drive side of the turbocharger and out to the exhaust system.

What happens is the oil seals go, the turbo then has oil leaking into the outlet side of it and the ENGINE runs off the OIL that the turbo is leaking into the intake side of the engine. However you'd know if this happened because the engine would suddenly and uncontrollably increase in speed and continue to do so until it blew itself up.

If its not done that then that is not the fault and overfilling is. When you overfill an engine with oil, the pistons on the downstroke instead of having free air to move into have thick oil to try and force their way through. This results in bending of the con rods and possibly the crankshaft as well, writing off the engine. The problem you have if this is the cause is proving it was them and not you that overfilled the engine.

Read the link, it won't be overfilled with oil, as sb and I have already said.
